I love crossovers. I don’t know why, but seeing two worlds collide fills me with unfiltered joy.
I also really like fighting games, and i tend to gravitate towards guest characters. So, I came up with an interesting idea. We make a fighting game that is all guest characters.
The characters would be suggested by fans using a system similar to LEGO Ideas. People can submit whatever character from whatever franchise, alongside a plan for how they would play. No OCs allowed. Then, other fans vote on it, ones who get up to 10,000 votes enter the review period. During this review period, the game devs review the concept, decide whether or not it is actually plausible, and find out if the actual license holder is willing to play ball. If the stars align, then the character is added to the game.
Also, one character per franchise. If Batman is added, then Superman becomes ineligible) The characters would be released via a seasonal model similar to Killer Instinct, one stage per character, until such time as the stage count becomes ridiculously huge. What do you guys think. Would you invest in this? And who would you want to see in it?
I could go on an on with possibilities. But for now, my vote will go to Beetlejuice. I just think he would be a cool fighting game character.

Get Killer instinct 3 Enable Cheats in your Mame start mame go to options go to default game options click the miscellaneous tab check 'enable game cheats' 4. Download my(and obreck's) Cheat.dat file from here 5 Start up killer instinct(MAKE SURE YOU ARE RUNNING IN WINDOWED MODE AT 320X240 RESOLUTION!!!) and go Use 2 player vs mode 6 Select your character by holding UP and pressing (Y aka medium punch).this should bring you to the underground skull cave stage 7 Select whomever you want for p2 8 In mame press tab and go to dip switches.
9 Turn off Blood!( all blood effects can be obtained from Obrecks eyedol.blood will only get in your way) 10 go to cheats 11 go to Enable/Disable Cheat 12 Turn on infinite time, and infinite energy for p1 and p2 13 Go down to Bloodstorm BG Cheat and Turn it on If you have done this right.you should have an all white background.unlimited energy and time.to do your bidding. Now you can rip. Anyone whose ever ripped anything before can skip these next steps and do it however they like. This is just how I do it.
14.I use hycam2 to capture everything in an UNCOMPRESSED VIDEO at 20 frames per second 15 turn on video capture and place it on your mame window 16 do all of your characters moves.(you only have to do each move once) 17 stop vidoe after you've done all the moves you need. 18 You should now have a really huge video file (mine was 800 megs for 2 minutes of video) 19 Use a program like ACDSee to extract all frames from your video in PNG format 20 You now have all the images you need.
Weed through the images and remove the duplicates. And crop Your character. Also remove the shadows. Lirc serial receiver how to use. 21 Rar or zip it up and you've got yourself a sprite pack Send this to a lovely coder.(like myself).and we can do the rest.

Well you are going to have some problems cause these moves cant be executed on a keyboard to easily most KI supers involve holding back for a second then pressing forward and a button some like jago's involve the HCB(F, DF, D, DB, B), HCF(B,DB,D,DF,F) combinations So if you plan on being a usefull ripper.your going to have to be able to do EVERY move a character has this includes ultimates, ultras, fatalities, combo breakers and shadow moves.
We cant make the character if we dont have EVERY sprite i suggest you get a KI faq.and a joystick. I have a wireless controller soooo. I guess wireless isn't good for everything after all Its either i get a wired controller, or i buy the piece, i can probably just borrow a friend's controller, i'll see how soon i can get it. Actually i can do the combos and stuff on the keyboard, i don't need the controller, The only move i can't do though is the humiliation move. When do i do it? At the time i would do fatality? So far that is the only thing i can't do.

I've checked the faqs, and some say different things, so i thought i'd ask you. You know, a humiliation is when they dance around and weird music is playing? How and when do i do sabrewulf's humiliation?

The.DEF file basically is the master file that that defines which files are connected to a particular character or stage. If you look at the example below (guile.def) the character guile's def files tell us the name of all the other files associated with that character. The extensions usually will tell you what the file does.
Here a quick overview of common files found on a character:.def - master file that defines which files are associated with a character or stage.cns - file that defines character traits such as strength, special moves, size, etc.cmd - this file lists the commands on how basic, special, and hyper moves are performed. This file also contains the character's AI (most of the time).sff - sprites of the character.air - animation file.snd - sound file.act - palette What can be modified in the DEF file? Displayname = 'put anything you want here if you want to customize how your character's name get displayed' That's it for now. Sometimes a character will have multiple versions of files that does the same thing in which case you can decide which file you want to use. For example, some characters have multiple files for a character's different AI levels. Since a character can only have one CMD file, you can select which one your character uses.
